The Hardenberg forest has been naturally cultivated by Ferdinand Count of Hardenberg for more than 30 years. Terraced, species rich, properly located, valuable forest stands are that goal of this woodland cultivation.

Suitable areas of woodland are left to their own natural development; natural seedlings from this stock are used for the reforestation.

There is a 15 year cycle of thinning out, but nonetheless care is taken that valuable structures are retained and the base stock is not reduced. Precisely by this special cultivation of the woodland, the timber is given an extraordinary quality and allows the woodland habitat prosper in its natural development.

Both the woodland and our trade are PEFC certified.
